Historical buildings reconsidered
The rough brick and industrial nature of the buildings in the Train Yard lend to the authenticity of the Gate City. We have so much to work with!

324 E Washington Street
It’s not the N&R site, but it is important to consider because of it’s proximity to us. If we could activate it as a public market and foodhall, we give visitors to downtown even more reason to come to whatever we build on our site. Acting as great gathering places, food halls and public markets provide people with a compelling reason to come back day after day. By adding a variety of restaurants, inviting bars, handcrafted products, and more, these spaces offer a vibrant and dynamic experience for visitors. We have an under-used building on the Depot campus—the one currently filled with model train sets. Let’s transform that space into a lively destination that attracts and delights the community!
